The Glenfield Millennium Green is an attractive, clean and peaceful place to visit. It is somewhere for you to meet up with friends, play games, keep fit or just relax. Located on the Glenfield side of the A46/A50 roundabout, just north of the Branting Hill area (as signed "The Brantings" ). Car parking is available opposite the main entrance. The Millennium Green provides a safe space for all ages. Whether you want to wonder around the Green, sit and watch the world go by or bring the kids to enjoy the playground and willow tunnel, there is plenty on offer for everyone. There is an area for young children to play, as well as a large open space for older children and teenagers to play. The Glenfield Parish Council maintain outdoor exercise equipment, as well as a tarmac surface with a play wall, allowing games of football, basketball and cricket. There are plenty of benches and picnic-benches sited across the Green for all to use. The Green is used for a range of community events throughout the year and the Trust are always on the look out for new ideas and volunteers to get the local community involved. The Trust also organise monthly gardening sessions which provide a social for many and help keep the Green looking pristine. The Green is planted with many native species and provides an area for improved biodiversity and enhanced local ecology. There is a wheelchair accessible sensory garden, as well as an area of the Green with tree dedications and our Marie Curie Field of Hope (planted with 10000 daffodils - a wonderful sight when spring arrives). The Glenfield Library stores a book called 'milestones and memories' and contains the dedications on the Green.
